I’m honored to say that I have 5 pieces on display [featured below] in the Grapevine Art Project‘s Juried Art Exhibit in the Tower Gallery inside the Grapevine Convention and Visitor’s Center located at 636 S. Main Street in downtown Grapevine, Texas.
The Free Exhibit runs April 6-26, 2018 and is full of art encompassing a range of mediums: jewelry, ceramics, photography, painting, block printing, textiles and so much more! If something catches your eye, guess what — it’s for sale too! Gallery hours coincide with the hours of the Visitor’s Center itself.

On April 14, 15, 20, & 21 GAP will be hosting artist demonstrations, as well as “Make and Takes” for youth and young adults. Spots are limited to a first come first serve basis and there is a modest fee.
As part of a new initiative, GAP is raising money to be used for an Art Scholarship Fund to help support a graduating senior for our local Grapevine Colleyville Independent School District. On the evening of April 14th there will be a Wine Trail drawing for some nice items, and a Silent Auction. The next Saturday on April 21 there will be another Silent Auction during the Artist’s Reception from 5-7pm.
- Saturday, April 21st from 5-7pm
Unfortunately for me, I will not be at the Artist Reception on April 21st, since it happens to coincide with my appearance at the Main ST Fort Worth Arts Festival. But many of the other artists will be on hand to talk about their art and process, plus there’s free refreshments too.So if you’re not visiting me at my booth in Fort Worth, then I’d recommend you pop in for an evening of art!

Here’s a teaser image of my new blank greeting card stock.
These are 5×7″ cards on 14 pt cardstock, with High Gloss UV Coating on the outside, the inside is uncoated to make it easier to write on.
They’ll be debuting at my booth inside the Foust Event Center at this year’s Grapefest, held September 14th-17th in Grapevine, Texas.

For those of you in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, please come on out and support me as well as other local artists at the next themed show at the Central Arts of Bedford. I’ll have several pieces for sale in the exhibit featuring some of the ‘critters’ (Ravens, Ducks, Longhorns, and Bees oh my!) I’ve taken photos of in my nature photography. I will be on hand until at least 9pm to admire the works of others, and to talk about my own photographic works. I hope to see you there!

On a recent trip to Austin, Texas I decided to swing by one of the city’s hidden gems, the Mayfield Park which features cottage style gardens, ponds of waterlilies, and peacocks roaming the grounds. I was there for about 2 hours waiting for a magical moment, and then finally one of the peacocks decided to spread their magnificent plumage in a full display. Nature Photography is part planning, part skill, part patience, and part luck. Of course I remembered one of the most crucial tenets of nature photography, don’t forget to look behind you, and don’t forget to look up, which helped me notice one particular peacock hanging out in a trees branches around 16 feet above me.
I’ll be accepting internet sales for my greeting cards. Stay tuned, there will be a more traditional e-commerce store front coming too!
- All Greeting Cards are Blank Inside
- Each card comes with an envelope
- 1 card for $5, or any combination of 5 cards for $20.

Things of Note:
Some Postal Services may require extra postage on the 5×5″ square shaped pieces of mail.
On the 5×5″ Metallic Pearl cards, because the inside of the card has the same paper treatment as the front, this means that it’s a bit tricky to write on. I’ve had the best success with Sharpie Markers (not to be confused with the Sharpie Pens), but you will need to give it about 10 seconds to prevent smudging.

I am a big believer that no space is too small for art. Whether it’s your office in a row of cubicles, a locker, or a wee little nook, you can always fill it with things that inspire and move you.
In that spirit, I’ve put together a bunch of mini-frames, with 3×3 inch prints inside them of my photos, which I’ll be selling at my booth in the Foust Event Center for $10 a piece this upcoming weekend (May 19-21, 2017) at Main Street Days in Grapevine, Texas. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s available:
