Second Place at 2018 IAA Animal Art Competition & Exhibition

I’m elated to announce that my photographic work, “This Side of the Pond” was bestowed a Second Place award by a three-member judging panel for the 2018 IAA Animal Art Competition & Exhibition in the challenge category: Frogs & Toads, across all art mediums in the contest (digital art, drawing, mixed media, painting and photography).

The Art exhibition remains on view until September 28th. You can view all the entries, including my award-winning piece in person during normal hours at the Jaycee Parks Center for the Arts located at 1975 Puritan Drive in Irving, Texas.

Or if you are heading out to #GrapeFest this weekend, I do have blank greeting cards featuring our Green little friend that I’ll be selling at my booth inside the Foust Funeral Home and Event Space, where over 20 local #GAPartists will be vending during the festival.

March 8 – Presentation at the Grapevine Art Project

I’ll be doing a presentation for my fellow artists at this week’s monthly Grapevine Art Project meeting. As part of that presentation, I’m asking folks to click on this link: “http://bit.ly/2tlkZoY” and in turn to also post and share it, asking others to click on the link and copy it exactly as it appears. You’ll find out why during the presentation!

For those not in attendance, and who are curious I’ll update this post with the reason why after the meeting.

Here’s the blurb from the Grapevine Art Project website:

Grapevine Art Project Member and photographer K. C. Hulsman, possesses over 10 years of experience marketing in the pop culture entertainment field. She worked her way up from an entry level coordinator to a Brand Manager that supervised over a hundred entertainment properties, including multi-million dollar properties that aired on TV. During her marketing career she’s had to become a veritable chameleon and jack-of-all-trades, and that included both social media and online marketing. Join us for her presentation geared to fellow artists on the ever-changing arena of online marketing with a focus on the importance of social media for growing your business and profile, insights into social media outlets, strategies for implementation and content generation, as well as helpful resources and tips! A Q&A will follow the presentation. KC’s knowledge base is dense, so we recommend you come ready to take notes.

WHEN & WHERE:

  • Thursday, March 8, 2018
  • 6:30pm : refreshments; 7:00pm : business followed by the presentation
  • Join us in the Stage Room at the REC located at 1175 Municipal Way in Grapevine, Texas.

Visitors welcome.
